Lake Born Co. specializes in Lake Erie walleye fishing charters out of Port Clinton, Ohio, and Lorain, Ohio, offering guided trips on one of the most productive walleye fisheries in North America.
In the spring, we focus on slow-trolling techniques targeting trophy-sized Lake Erie walleye in the western basin as fish stage and feed on the reefs. As the season progresses into summer and early fall, we move east into the central basin, following migrating schools of walleye and trolling deeper water for consistent action and excellent eating-size fish.
The western and central basins of Lake Erie are world-renowned for their walleye fishing, making our trips ideal for families, first-time anglers, and experienced fishermen alike. Spring Walleye Fishing Charter on Lake Erie
(Ice-out – May 15)
Spring is prime time for trophy Lake Erie walleye, and our spring charters focus exclusively on slow-trolling techniques in the western basin. This time of year offers excellent opportunities to target large, pre-spawn walleye as they stage and feed on the reefs, making it one of the best windows of the season for trophy-class fish.
Lake Erie Summer Fishing/ Early Fall Fishing Charters
(May 15 – Ice-up)
As the season progresses, walleye begin their annual migration east. Our summer and early fall charters focus on trolling for walleye in the Port of Lorain located in the central basins of Lake Erie, following fish as they move into deeper water for consistent action and great eating-size walleye.
What's Required:
- Resident or non-resident fishing licenses
- Dramamine
- Plenty of food and snacks
- Dress for the weather highly recommend to have waterproof clothes
- Cooler with ice to take your fish home
- Sunscreen as needed
- Our boats have ample storage for personal items and extra gear. We recommend bringing enough clothing to stay comfortable in changing Lake Erie conditions.

On Livescope fishing trips, we will be using the Lowrance Active Target Systems to pin-point active fish and cast at them.
- MORNING TRIPS are a 6-hour trip (or until limit), starts at 7:00 AM
- EVENING TRIPS are a 6-hour trip (or until limit), starts at 3:00 PM
$1150 - up to 3 anglers
If we cancel for weather the customer has the option to reschedule for a later available date.
